Erica Zigelman, PrincipalErica Zigelman is presently a middle school
principal at The Renaissance Leadership Academy ( MS 322) located in Washington
Heights, New York City. Our school was
opened as part of the small school reform in New York City as part of
Chancellor Klein’s Children First Reform.
Located in the Salome Urena Educational Campus, we share the building
with I.S. 218 and City College Academy of the Arts. With a student enrollment of
hovering around 500, our teachers are able to create a warm and nurturing
environment for the student body. Our
school vision, “Where today’s students become tomorrow’s leaders” is visible
throughout the school. Creating an
environment where students are prepared for the 21st century and
beyond is a major thrust at our school.
We believe that every child is able to achieve and is college
bound. Our learning community is a place
where all staff and students believe in the mission and vision of our school.
